One town that is definitely worth a visit is Duderstadt. Did you know that in the year 929 A.D. this city was already mentioned? Since the year 1250 A.D., the city has had city rights. More than 500 half-timbered houses line the town’s streets. Follow the oval of the city wall and imagine yourself in the fairytale past. You will feel like you are in the Middle Ages here and even before! Not to be missed is the twisted spire of the Westertower, which was caused by a construction fault.
